Following the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, independent financial advisers like ourselves had to assume ever greater responsibility for the accuracy of the advice we provide. In personal and corporate financial planning particularly, this advice can no longer be simply impartial; it must now be the best possible advice obtainable anywhere.

The 2012 launch of the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) is also set to raise professional standards within the financial services industry even higher with its remit to entrench the culture of ethical business.
